He does not come from a political family and does not make politically correct statements. In the other controversies he was involved he just spoke what he thought was correct and he was right too. The media terms politicians to be hypocrites but if politician speaks their mind instead of having constructive debate of why he thinks that way the media criticize them. One of the main reasons for corruption in india is media and it's hypocrisy. I think this was depicted well in the movie PAA and i think it is true too. You are not free to make a known truth as a public statement. You are in trouble for it. Hopefully globalization will change this behavior...

SUN Network Dominance a Major concern for Tamilians !

The growth of SUN networks in the entertainment industry has been tremendous. The SUN Network which is affiliated to DMK owns a number of TV channels, few daily newspaper and weekly magazines has a great influence on the common man in Tamil Nadu. The recent run of movies distributed by SUN Tv in the box office shows their penetration and influence on Tamilians. Movie which would have been a box office disaster managed a decent run in the box office due to repeated promotions about the movie in their TV channels.

Majority of the viewers do not validate the news being delivered to them and take them as it is delivered. This is being used to their advantage by the SUN Network. Though the viewers have the option to view any channel they like, SUN Network has the first mover advantage and have majority viewership. They determine what kind of news and entertainment people should get. They use this to promote their party and avoid news which the people should be aware of. The same is the case for TV channels run by other political parties as well. But due to the dominance of the SUN network they influence the people the most. The next election in 2011 will display us with 100% certainity the influence they have. My fear is if they continue to have this kind of governance we may not have alternative form of government in the state unless there is a break way in Karunanidhi. Let us wait and see what happens..

Policemen attacked, murdered in Tirunelveli !

I saw the video and the follow up news...It is very clear that atleast 10 people are surrounding the policemen as he is dying...the most sad part is there are other policemen who are just mute spectators...The poor policemen is crying for help and 1 guy is just giving him water...timely help could have saved this policemen...If we cannot help a person who is dying where are we going? what were the guys thinking? are they that selfish? Manita Neyam innum irukiratha???

N D Tiwary a freedom figher, former central minister, former chief minister, current governor with all this at the age of 84 he is involved in a sex scandal with 3-4 girls all aged less than 25 years...How are we going to punish this guy? We need more true investigative journalists in our country to strip all these tainted politicians....

Corruption Free India !

I see a lot of frustration among indians who are educated and comparison of India with developed nations. Every one of us are pointing fingers at politicians to bring the change but did we all forget that the politicians are from US? If we do not tolerate bad behaviour and every one of us be a role model then things will automatically change. The change should begin in yourself...That is the first step for Corruption free India...
